Jos attack is another evidence of failed leadership - Apostle johson suleman

 

Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, made this statement on March 30, 2026, in response to a violent attack on the Gari Ya Waye community in Jos North, Plateau State. 

The attack, which occurred on Palm Sunday (March 29, 2026), resulted in several deaths and prompted the state government to impose a 48-hour curfew. In a series of social media posts, Suleman criticized the Nigerian government's handling of the insecurity, describing it as "depressingly exhausting" and a sign of "failed leadership". 

Key Points of the Statement:

Criticism of Leadership: He argued that current leaders prioritize politics and "pre-coronation plans" over protecting citizens' lives.

Call for Empathy: Suleman explicitly stated that the current administration has "zero affiliation with empathy" and called for more "humane leaders".

Responsibility vs. Prayer: While a prominent cleric, he noted that "prayers won't replace responsibility," urging those in power to take full accountability for the nation's safety.

Message to Supporters: He also criticized people who defend "failed leadership" for personal gain, urging them to at least use "good grammar" if they intend to support such "delusion". 

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) echoed similar sentiments during the same period, urging leaders to show empathy and provide economic relief as citizens struggled with both insecurity and rising living costs.
